A Day on a TEP (Transitional Employment Program) Interviewer: Vivin Interviewee: Camelia K
1. Where did you work? I worked at The Harbour Front from May to October. I worked on cleaning up garbage and taking off the graffiti.
2. What was it like working outdoors for your mood/mind? It was a pleasure to be able to work by the water and I noticed it felt good for my mental health. I felt very relaxed working by the water. When I am alone on a Sunday and I remember I have work the next day, I would feel good and relaxed knowing that I have plans and my time will be occupied by working at the water front.
3. Did you like working independently or as a team? I like to work as a team and we had to stay together while working. We had to have good communication and learn and follow the map directions.
4. What gives you motivation to work? Whenever I see people work, it helps me know and feel that I am included and that helps me gain more energy and helps me feel financially independent and able to move on in my life with my finances. It also helps me be motivated to wake up early everyday and keep my schedule which is something I had difficulty with in the past.
